Description:
A total of 12 filters are installed at the East Wing with a total design output of 160 MLD. Due to aging of the existing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, we were approached to replace the current pipeworks on filter discharge, backwash water and air scour with DI piping, new electrically actuated valves and digital instruments. Existing MCC panels are modified and MCB distribution boards with power distribution cabling works are conducted for power supply to the newly installed valves and instruments. Manual operation of the filters is also replaced by automatic control where local control panels are installed and PLC program is upgraded to achieve filter auto-washing sequence.
